Thick-wall EPS: maximum insulation for long transport

EPS boxes with a thick wall (40mm+) give maximum insulation performance. Suited to long transport, a strictly controlled cold chain and shipments that are on the road for several days. The extra wall thickness means a considerably longer cooling time with the same number of cooling elements.

When to choose thick wall?

For air freight, international road freight, pharma distribution and shipments of 48+ hours. Slightly more expensive per box, but certainty of temperature control matters for valuable cargo.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a thick wall maintain temperature?
With the right configuration of cooling elements: 48 to 72 hours. With gel packs in a thick-walled EPS box: below 0 °C for up to 30 hours, below 8 °C for up to 48 hours.
Much more expensive than thin-wall?
20 to 30% more expensive per box. For long transports and valuable cargo, it is definitely worth it.
With or without drainage holes?
Both variants available.
