Insulated base sheet for extra protection

An insulated base sheet gives extra protection to temperature-sensitive products in transit. It is placed at the bottom of the pallet or in the box and acts as an insulating barrier between the product and the floor, which stops heat transfer through the underside of the packaging.

Why a base sheet?

The base is often a weak spot in insulation. The floor of the vehicle, contact with other pallets, or storage on a hot floor are all sources of temperature loss. A base sheet closes off this thermal bridge and extends the effective cooling time.

Combination with thermal cover

An insulated base sheet plus a thermal cover together form a complete passive insulation cocoon around the pallet. We also supply combination sets for EURO and block pallets.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really need a bottom sheet?
For air cargo and strictly controlled cold chain shipments, yes. It seals off the weakest point in the insulation. For shorter road transports, it can be omitted if the base is not a heat source.
What sizes are available?
Standard EURO pallet (120×80) and block pallet (120×100). Custom sizes available for roll containers and other dimensions.
Combine with a thermal pallet cover?
Yes, a bottom sheet + thermal pallet cover creates a complete insulation cocoon. We also offer discounted combo sets.
Is it reusable?
Yes, provided they are undamaged and clean. Their lifespan is comparable to thermal pallet covers.
