Our PCM packs are used in many different industries. They are often used where crushed ice cannot be used, for example for air freight of fish or for sending meat or medicines by post. Because PCM packs are sealed and therefore release no meltwater when they thaw, they are widely used in the pharma, bio and fresh produce sectors. What is the big difference between a PCM pack and an ice pack? A PCM pack gives a constant temperature of -18°C, whereas a gel pack gives 0°C. If you ship goods frozen, a PCM pack is a good solution.
